THIN AIR OUTFITTERS offers you to choose one of these optional tours before or after your main trip, Titicaca Lake, explore the Amantani and Taquile Islands this is one of the unforgettable wonderful cultural extension trip. Titicaca Lake is the highest navigable lake in the world at 4,800 m.a.s.l / 12,500 ft. along our trip to the Puno department where is located Titicaca lake, We stop at the Inca and pre-Inca remains, the next day we explore the Uros floating island with Aymara people then to Amantani for overnight in one of the family house, the next day to explore the Taquile Island, both of them Quechua people. Then back to Puno.

DEATILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: CUSCO TO PUNO.

Beginning in Cusco City, we picked up at your Cusco hotel and transferred to the First class or Inca Express office for a bus tour via La Raya Pass to Puno. Along the route several stops to visit like the colonial chapel at Andahuaylillas, the Pre Inca temple of Wiraqocha of Racchi. Lunch and the entrance fees are included. Once to arrive to Puno, our representative meets you and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2 PUNO-UROS-AMANATANI.

We pickup at your hotel 7:00a.m. For your tour with overnight at Amantani Island, the first stop will be after 30 minutes of boat at the uros floating reed island community to explore and visit 1 or 2 floating islands. Then we cruise out of Puno Bay into the main body of the Titicaca lake to Amantani Island. Where we will have the lunch. After the meals you have time for a scenic hike on the top of the island with panoramic views of the largest part of the Titicaca Lake and the Royal Mountain Range which one is part of Bolivia territory. Day 3 Private tour of the impressive pre-Inca burial tower site at Sillustani. We then continue to Juliaca airport to check in for your flight to Lima.

DAY 3 AMANTANI-TAQUILE- PUNO.

After the breakfast at your family house to Taquile we aboard our boat for a short trip to Taquile island located in the main body of Titicaca Lake, terraced island The no more of three hundred Quechua-speaking families who make up the community support themselves by farming and making finest quality of textiles. Explore and visit the island and back to Puno.

DAY 4 PUNO-JULIACA-LIMA.

During the morning you have time off to explore some streets and markets of Puno until 10:00a.m. after that we pick up from your hotel to transfer by private bus or Van to visit on the route the Sillustani burial towers, after to explore this area we continue our trip to Juliaca airport for your flight to lima.
