The Inca Empire had an extensive network of roads running the all Incan Empire territory. The classic hike is one of the world's most popular treks. This 4 day hike walk goes from the highlands of 4,200 m.a.s.l. / 13,900 ft. through the cloud forest before arriving at Machupicchu 2,400 m.a.s.l / 7,800 ft. the camp site is with striking views of the High Andes and dense jungle, the last day hike, after crossing three high passes arrive at Sun Gate (intipunku) where we have the fist view of Machu Picchu.

Transfer from your hotel to the trailhead at KLM. 82. (PISQACCUCHO) by private bus or Van to meet the Quechua porters whose transport our camp gear, we just walk carrying light packs (daypack). Hike along the Vilcanota river with a panoramic view of Veronica Mountain 5,900 m.a.s.l. / (19,000 ft.). Explore Llacta Pata Inca city and continue to the CAMPSITE HUAYLLABAMBA village 3,000 m.a.s.l. / 9,850 ft.
From Huayllabamba climb to the highest part of our journey, finally after gradual uphill hike we reach Warmiwañuska pass 4,200 m.a.s.l. /. 13,900 ft. where we have the panoramic view of Huayanay mountains and the Vilcabamba Mountain Range. Then descend to the CAMPSITE PACAYMAYO RIVER 3.600 m.a.s.l. / 11,840 ft.
From Pacaymayo climb again to the second pass, after to explore the Runkuraqay ruins 3,784 m.a.s.l. / 12,415 ft. Then we climb the last portion and we reach the RUNKURAQQAY pass 4,000 m.a.s.l. / 13,050 ft. after we descend to explore Sayacmarca ruins then continue to PHUYUPATAMARCA Incan site 3,650 m.a.s.l./ 12,010 ft. with magnificent view of Vilcabamba range with the highest peaks of Salcantay 6,275 m.a.s.l. / 20,580 ft. Pumasillo etc. the Vilcanota river and after to explore Phuyupatamarca descend stairs downhill into the exotic cloud forest to our Last CAMP SITE WIÑAYHUAYNA 2,730 m.a.s.l. / 8,960 ft. Later on explore the Wiñayhuayna Inca Site.
Early wake up call, easy morning trek to the Gate of the Sun (INTIPUNKU), first view of MACHUPICCHU INCA CITY, descend the last portion of trek, later on guided tour of the "Lost City of the Incas", after to explore Machupicchu, bus ride to Machupicchu town (AGUAS CALIENTES), late afternoon return to Cusco by train.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: According to the new Inca Trail regulations, The Machu Picchu Sanctuary authorities allow only 500 people to enter to Inca Trail every day including Cooks, porters, Guides. Each one who enters that day needs to be listed on a permit form, provided by the park authorities in advance. Booking will be only guaranteed if you reconfirm your trip date, providing Full names, Nationalities, Gender, Occupation and passport numbers.
