Our trek start early during the morning in Cusco city where we catch our tourist bus or van with some stops on the way to the trail head, first stop Limatambo village to enjoy the Inca remains of Tarawasi (Archeological site ) then we continue to Mollepata village finally through the Soraypampa valley we arrive to the trail head. Day five we catch the early train to Machupicchu Inca City. Afternoon back to Cusco. In the sixteenth century the Cordillera Vilcabamba area was the refuge of the last Incas, from there they aimed to re/conquer their lands from the Spanish Crown.
Two of the most important ruins in Peru, Machu Picchu and Choquequirao, were settled in the region. The transition between the tropical forest and the snow mountains occurs in a few kilometers. The area is great for climbing, hiking and visiting archaeological sites.

We leave Cusco city early during the morning on a private bus or van toward the Huaran Village trailhead then we will trek uphill gradually, the camp gear and personal equipment will be carried by horses. Lunch on the way, the scenery of this fist portion is with lush vegetation, then we arrive to Cancha Cancha small village with few population of farmers, campsite with spectacular scenery.
We leave campsite and we will trek uphill gradually toward the fist pass named Pachacutec 4,400m.a.s.l. / 14,450ft. around to the pass we can enjoy amazing and spectacular views glacier mountains of Pitusiray 5,200m.a.s.l. / 17,050ft. Sahuasiray 5,050m.a.s.l. / 16,500ft. then we will descend toward to Quishuarani small village, campsite by the village.
Again the trail leads uphill toward the second and the last pass of Willkiqasa 4,100m.a.s.l. / 13,500ft. just under the pass is located a nice lake named Queullaqocha from the pass another spectacular views at the both sides of the pass, then we will descend to our campsite located at Cuncani village with farming fields regular quantity of population, after the pass all the way downhill.
Last day hike downhill along to the rich valley of Cuncani and Huacawasi, glacier water for irrigation system along the valley several kind of crops such as potatoes, beans, peas, corn, flowers, etc .we will arrive for lunch to Lares District and the main attraction is the Natural Hot Springs, here we can enjoy the swing pools before to catch our bus or van back to Cusco city.
