The spectacular scenery of URUBAMBA MOUNTAIN RANGE complicated geological topography with deep valleys where the high mountain Andean people makes trails hundreds year ago with ascends and descends or just well know up hill and down hill those trails connect several and remote and rarely visited region offer to the adventure people a real lives of the Andean farmers, dressed in their traditional colored customs specially the ponchos, we will see several thatched stone houses surrounded by herds of llamas and alpacas, small villages of shepherds and weavers in the highland, the trek is moderate class, the trek combines spectacular scenery with glacier mountains like Pitusiray and Sahuasiray, glacier lakes an authentic quechua speaking communities, Along the trek we will crossing high passes like Pachacutec Pass 4,400m.a.s.l. / 14,450ft. Willkiqasa Pass 4,100m./13,500ft. the trek start at Huaran village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and we will finish at tastayoc valley near to the abra Malaga pass the door way of the Cusco cloud forest region.

We leave Cusco city early during the morning on a private bus or van toward the Huaran Village located in the sacred Valley of the Incas (trailhead) then we will hike uphill gradually, the camp gear and personal equipment will be carried by horses. Lunch on the way, the scenery of this fist portion is with lush vegetation, then we arrive to Cancha Cancha small village with few population of farmers, campsite with spectacular scenery.
We leave Cusco city early during the morning on a private bus or van toward the Huaran Village located in the sacred Valley of the Incas (trailhead) then we will hike uphill gradually, the camp gear and personal equipment will be carried by horses. Lunch on the way, the scenery of this fist portion is with lush vegetation, then we arrive to Cancha Cancha small village with few population of farmers, campsite with spectacular scenery.
We leave campsite and we will hike uphill gradually toward the fist pass named Pachacutec 4,400m.a.s.l./14,450ft. around to the pass we can enjoy amazing and spectacular views glacier mountains of Pitusiray 5,200m.a.s.l./17,050ft. Sahuasiray 5,050m./16,500ft. then we will descend toward to Quishuarani small village, campsite by the village.
Again the trail leads uphill toward the second and the pass of Willkiqasa 4,100m./13,500ft. just under the pass is located a nice lake named Queullaqocha from the pass another spectacular views at the both sides of the pass, then we will descend to our campsite located at Cuncani village with farming fields regular quantity of population.
Morning trek during the first hours the trail has a gradually ascend from the high part of the mountain we can appreciate the Huacahuasi valley, the farmers community, this area is a big valley with rich farming fields, during the afternoon up hill toward the high pass of Ipsayqocha with 4,400m.a.s.l./14,500ft. this area considered as a highland we can appreciate heard of llamas and alpacas around the hike, our campsite is near to the highland lake with several rainbow trout and beautiful views.
We leave this nice camp site to trek gradually up in the middle of llamas and alpacas after to get the pass we will go into the Patacancha valley some farmers in the area then again up hill to get the base camp of Huacratanca mountain with few glacier on the summit 5,024 m.a.s.l. / 16,470 ft. where is located our last camp site.
This day not any more big up hills jus gently walking over the mountains with spectacular scenery, several glaciers peaks Pumahuanca mountain 5,330 m.a.s.l / 17,482 ft., Halacoma mountain 5,367 m.a.s.l/17,620 ft. and the highest peak of Urubamba mountain range Veronica mountain 5,682 m.a.s.l. /18,636 ft. after to this nice views we start down hill to the end of the trail Tastayoc village, from where our bus transfer to Cusco city.
